For some reason, this transfer has been a whole lot different from the other three I've spent here in Dunsan! I think the Lord has something in mind for me and Sister Yoo to learn while serving together. Last week also many of our appointments fell through, and a couple more of our investigators stopped meeting with us. It's the strangest thing ever, as Sister Yoo and I have been left with a lot of time to focus on finding more people to teach! I am grateful for the experience however, and realize, especially as a new missionary, it's an important thing to learn.
The few appointments we did have, though, were awesome--with both investigators and members! My companion has now changed the most challenging mission experience from people canceling to food... just food. And often says, "Being hungry is better than being full." hahaha. Members just love the missionaries a little too much sometimes. :)
Anywho, this last week as I've studied and served I've been realizing again the importance of faith. I've felt the strength that comes from relying on the Lord. Faith consists of the two parts--action and belief. I found myself reflecting a lot of my own belief in Our Savior, Jesus Christ, as I've studied more about Him. While on this earth He, as well as many other prophets and disciples, declared that He is the way. Only through Him we can have eternal life. Do we truly believe His word? Do we believe He has the power to do what He says? Can we really trust that He will give us strength in times when we are lacking? As I've reflected more on these types of questions, I've developed a deeper gratitude for all that He's done. I know He is truly our Savior and through Him all that is hard or unfair in life will be made right through Him! I am so happy to be doing His work.
I love this scripture: Mark 9:23
All things are possible!
Have a great week! Love ya'll!!
