Well, the weather has warmed up quite a bit this last week, at least enough for my companion and me to part with wearing our fuzzy pajamas beneath our layers of fleece tights!! :) (It was admittedly a bit of a struggle for a while... hahaha). Despite the cold, my heart is warm, and I've honestly never been so full of joy in my life.
Sundays here are chocked full of stress and running around visiting people... Sometimes, especially baptism days, Sundays feel less like Sundays than other days of the week do. Hahaha. Sister Sallender commented once that on Sundays we focus on the Lord, and that our missions are like the Sundays of our lives... super cool thought. Someday Sundays will be a day of rest, but not during this 18-month-long Sunday I like to call my mission. And I'm loving it!
This last week as a zone we had the opportunity to meet together at the 선화 chapel and watch the Worldwide missionary broadcast! (A bit delayed... I think it actually happened a week or two prior... and so goes when living all the way across the world!) Words can't even express how great that was. I just kept thinking of how necessary it is to us, God's children, to have frequent reminders and check-ups to keep us on track. Things like Stake conference, General Conference, and the like always give us the spiritual boosts that we don't realize we lack! Constantly feeding our testimonies and experiencing conversion is necessary... (Feeling, recognizing, and embracing the Holy Ghost, God's spirit which testifies and confirms truth, is absolutely NECESSARY in any conversion)... anywho, I loved it!! Some thoughts that impressed me included the covenant we make at baptism to take upon us the name of Christ, to always remember Him, and stand as a witness. As a missionary, as well as a member, we should always have His name on our lips- always be sharing our testimony and testifying of Him. I know the times when I speak to strangers on the street and bear my testimony of Him, I feel a sense of love, peace, and joy that lingers long after many reject my message.
Anywho, again, I am left with so much more to share but so little time...
I hope you all have a great week!! Love you all
