안녕하새요 여러분!
It sees like every week here is full of all sorts of ups and downs! Preparations are being made for the imminent departure of the next set of missionaries going to Seoul and Seoul Nam (South) this Monday. They will be missed dearly! It also means that my district will be the oldest. Crazy! I know we've learned so much since our first day, but still! We have a long ways to go toward fluency! Ahh...
This sunday Jones 자매님 (the other sister training leader) and I performed a musical number. She has an incredible voice, which matches the incredible person she is. It was a challenge trying to find time to squeeze in practice, but so long as you are willing to give of all of yourself to fulfill the Lord' callings, He always takes care of the rest. It is truly amazing witnessing the Lord's hand so distinctly in the MTC.
A few weeks ago I watched a life-changing devotional by Elder Bednar titled The Character of Christ. (If ever given the opportunity to watch, PLEASE DO! It will change your life. I promise!) Bednar discusses how a characteristic of Christ is that He is ALWAYS focused outward. He also brought up an interesting challenge to buy an inexpensive Book of Mormon and on the front page write some question that you have. As you read the book cover to cover, make notes in the margins along the way the things pertaining to your question and you will uncover deep truths. I decided to start earlier this month and I've absolutely loved it!
One of my favorite moments while reading the Book of Mormon was stumbling upon the heart-wrenching verses found in 2 Nephi chapter 4. Nephi pours out his heart in these verses (starting at about verse 15 to the end), praising the goodness of God and humbling himself before Him. I too have had these feelings in my own heart, recognizing that I am nothing without the Lord and His grace. God has so much love for His children! I know, without a doubt, that He knows and loves each one of us.
Take care, my friends! Love you all.
