On Tuesday I went on a split with Sister Weston (who was my Sister Training Leader in the MTC!) and Sister Yoo went up to Sejong (a super new city just north of Daejeon... it is super cool and SUPER modern). And... scheduled Sister Weston an appointment for her to get her nails done with Sister Lee, our investigator! (This is our missionary life... hahaha. I promise we work hard!) A little out of bit of desperation... but mostly inspiration! We had a SUPER good conversation about the doctrine of Christ and Sister Lee shared about how much meeting with us missionaries and going to church has helped her and her daughters. She said especially her oldest daughter has become brighter since meeting with us. It touched my heart. :) Sister Weston shared a lot of her own conversion. (She was only baptized a couple years ago!) It was soooo gooood!!
We spent time with them on Saturday and Sunday, and they also came to church and had a member lesson. I JUST LOVE THIS FAMILY SO MUCH!! It's an incredible experience to be able to see the changes that are happening with them as they open up their hearts to Christ and His gospel. :)
This last week I've pondered a lot on the scriptural promise that God makes to His children: "Draw near unto me and I will draw near unto you; seek me diligently and ye shall find me; ask, and ye shall receive; knock, and it shall be opened unto you." (Doctrine and Covenants 88:63)
I've experienced the joy, the light, and the peace that comes into our lives as I've embraced this promise and willingly obeyed God's will. I've also witnessed this is the lives of those who've I've been privileged to meet during my time as a full time missionary. I testify that God always keeps His promises, so long as we are willing to do our part!! We are His children and He loves us. Boy, does He love us!!
Have a wonderful week!
