Well, this week flew by super fast!! It's almost scary how fast it's going by. Yet at the same time God has given us a great mountain to climb. No investigators yet... but we are keeping really busy!! Contacting previous investigators, seeking out less actives, and visiting the members and sharing the love. So much walking, yet this area is SO MUCH SMALLER than last transfer. (I definitely feel like my mission age... I'm a 할머니!!!)[Grandma!]
This last week we also had a big zone conference/farewell party for President and Sister Shin, who will be leaving in two days. The new President, Madsen, apparently served with Sister Shin in Busan nearly 40 years ago!! It will be weird to think of doing missionary work any other way, especially without Sister Shin (words can not even express my love for her... "Open your mouth and exercise your face.") Those two are truly extraordinary individuals. And my life will never be the same.
With all of these changes and the struggles it brings, I've pondered a lot on both happiness and faith. This last week I've stumbled upon two quotes by our beloved prophet, President Thomas S. Monson. I know He is truly called of God to testify to and lead us. His words really stuck with me, especially at times when the day seems to have no end...hahaha
The first is this:
You are only as happy as you make up your mind to be.
The second being:
You future is as bright as your faith.
Agency is a precious gift from God! It ultimately determines our destiny. I know that as we both choose happiness, and also choose to exercise faith, our future will in turn become both brighter, lighter, and more joyful!! Both our immediate future, as well as the future waiting for us after this life!!
LOVE YOU ALL!! Have a wonderful week~~
