Hey all!!
This week has been a bit more normal than last... still adjusting to having a second companion though! Needless to say it's been a lot of fun... really though! My two companions, Sister Ha and Sister Joo, are the best! They each have different strengths, as do I, so it's been cool being able to work with those things while teaching. I'm actually loving it... and learning a ton as I'm constantly surrounded by Korean--more so than ever before! Ahhh...
This week we were able to meet with several of our investigators! We have lots of potential right now. So far, two of our investigators are committed to baptism on August 9th (박서라 and 송예림). Both are progressing well! Also, yesterday a returned missionary came to visit the ward... turns out she is the one who found 박서라 two years ago... crazy!!
Last week we also began meeting with 강순임, who was found through our English advertisement. (HUGE miracle. Seriously!) She's also been attending various other church activities, such as orchestra/guitar night on Wednesday, English class on Friday, and a special fireside on Saturday, which was hosted by our Mission President just for investigators. (He pretty much covered Christ's ministry, the apostasy, restoration, history of the church, Word of Wisdom, Tithing... all of the tough stuff hahaha. It was awesome.) She's been bringing her son along to activities and wants him to become involved with pretty much everything! Including Youth Conference this week. Super cool! I just love her... and in visiting her home I always feel like a legit missionary, with legit missionary experiences to be shared later (if ya know what I mean... hahaha). She's awesome!
Also, last week we began meeting with a woman from China, who we received as a referral from one of the church members. Her name is 왕지현 and she has huge interest in the gospel. Being from China she didn't have much religious background, so we are teaching simply, starting with the Plan of Salvation. She works for NuSkin and is super busy, but I'm excited for her to continue learning about the gospel! She's super awesome as well!
Anywho, this week I've learned the importance of trusting in the Lord and exercising great trust in Him! It's been a rather stressful week, and at those times I'm always brought to humility. He knows what He is doing... as the scripture says in John 14:6, "Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." In this life, there are limitless paths that we can choose... but ultimately there is only one BEST path. The Lord's way is the THE way! It's not the easiest way at times, but in following His will is the only way that can, and will, bring everlasting joy!
Have a wonderful week!
