This blog is going to be a big shorter this week... apologies in advance!!
The theme for this last week can be summed up in a portion of a scripture found in 2 Nephi chapter 2, which says, "for it must needs be, that there is an opposition in all things."
This rings so true!
This last week my companion got fairly sick, resulting in us having to rest at home for a good portion of a couple days... both her illness and our lack of ability to do missionary work outside during those times were difficult for both of us. After getting blessings from the Elders and also lots of love and help from President and Sister Madsen, my companion recovered and we got right back to work!!
It seemed like the week was a bit shot, but we continued working diligently and serving to the best of our abilities! Let me just say that I testify to the promise that God makes to us, that as long as we do our best He will provide for the difference.
On Saturday night, we got a phone call from the Elders in another area, saying they met a woman who wanted to treat the missionaries to a cafe and spend time talking with them. She lives in our area, which is why they referred her to us. We called her up to arrange an appointment. When we met her some time later, she brought two of her girl friends... and we spent nearly an hour teaching them about the restored gospel. They loved it, and want to meet us a couple times a week to continue learning...
...MIRACLE!!!
Words fail me on how to best describe my feelings. God lives. He loves us. This is His work. And He will always direct us and bless us when we do our part.
HAVE A WONDERFUL WEEK!!
