Well, I regret to have to say this but last week Sister Ontoria passed on to the other side... Last Wednesday marked the end of our awesome tri-panionship party we had going on. She was a fighter to the end and definitely went with honor. She is missed dearly, but being overwhelmed with love from her family at home in the Philippines, I'm sure!!
It's hard to remember all that went on this last week. Time is just flying by and SO much craziness is happening. Between Sister Ontoria going home, going on splits with the Dunsan sisters, and Sister Lee getting sick and having to go to the hospital... life at least is not boring! Through it all, I've gained a greater appreciation for the Lord's hand in the little things!
Throughout my mission I've been praying for a greater understanding of God's purpose in my serving a mission. I've met lots of incredible, sweet, inspiring individuals who I know God has intended our lives to cross paths. I cherish them and they will forever be close to my heart. It nearly brings me to tears to think of the opportunities and experiences God has blessed me with.
This last week I've been blessed with an understanding as to other purposes God has in sending me here as a missionary to Korea. It's been coming little by little, bit by bit, slowly at times, and other times, like last week, I experienced an epiphany of understanding.
It's all a bit too personal to share the details of, especially somewhere so public as an online blog. But the point I want to share is that God really does love each one of us, and has specific purposes and designs to help us be the best people we can. He wants us to succeed, to be happy, not just in this life, but eternally!
(Phiippians 4:6-7) Our prayers are never EvER in vain. He hears and answers them, just in His timing. It is important to pray diligently and sincerely and fervently. The peace that comes through His Spirit, the Holy Ghost, is beyond all description. It's a peace found no where else. I testify to this!!
LOVE YOU ALL!! Have a wonderful week!
