Hey all!!
Well, the time is far spent... always felt like it was so far away. But this is now my final email I'm sending as a missionary. Right now it's like a whirlwind of emotions and all that, feeling and thinking of everything yet numb at the same time. A year and a half of my life, this wonderful adventure, is now speeding towards a close. Strangest thing ever.
This last week has been full of lots of goodbyes and final miracles! Perhaps one of my favorite was running into a less active sister from Sunhua Ward, who I never actually met in person but would frequently speak together on the phone. On the way to a proselyting activity downtown with the rest of our district, me and Sister Lee decided to take another street on a whim and there she was!! Finally was able to meet her here at the end. It was a truly joyful moment!
In closing I would like to share my testimony. It's difficult to confine all of my thoughts, feelings, and experiences into words. It's really not possible.
As a missionary, more than anything thing else, I've come to learn so much more about how deep and unfailing God's love is. He knows each and every one of us, and loves us, SO MUCH!! I've had moments where I've felt this intense love He has for me, but more frequently than that His love for those that I've met here in this blessed land of Korea. He desires the best for each of us and has a chosen path for us to follow, if we are willing. He will guide, protect, inspire, and strengthen us along the way. We can truly speak with Him through prayer. He listens. And He will answer.
Because of this love, God created a plan for our eternal happiness. The central point of this plan, the part that makes it all possible is His Son, Jesus Christ, and His Atonement. This is the gospel!! It's the good news!! That we can, through Him, be forgiven for our mistakes in this life and through following His example, return to live with our Father in Heaven. This gospel is meant to bless not just us individually, but as families as well. It strengthens our families and unites us in love and goodness. It's through this gospel that we are able to continue our family relationships beyond death, but for all time and eternity.
God teaches us this gospel through His chosen prophets. Just like in times of old, He has called another to restore these truths to the earth--Joseph Smith. I know He was a true prophet and that the Book of Mormon was translated by the power of God. It is an incredible book and I LOVE it! As I read I find messages and guidance in my life, and it brings me closer to God and Jesus Christ.
I am so happy to have had the opportunity to share this beautiful message with the world!! I've come to learn for myself the truthfulness of it.
LOVE YOU ALL! I look forward to seeing you all again.
