It feels like I began my mission all over again!! Haha. This last week went by super fast, and yet it feels as though a month has passed! Still trying to figure out what's going on with this whole time warp thing. ^^ It's been a great week, though. Full of all sorts of adventures!!
Basically, since Sister McQueen and I are serving over two wards, our area is HUGE!! We've already had plenty of bus adventures... and even experimented with the subway (LOVE IT SO MUCH.) At one point I swear we traveled all the way to China... hahaha. I'm so thankful though for an awesome companion!! Even in stressful situations we manage to make it out alright. Often with laughter and singing.
We're trying hard to make the love flow, especially in one of the wards that seems a bit down. I'm realizing that missionary work here is a bit more challenging than it was in my last area, but I'm grateful for the opportunity to experience this challenge! Adjusting isn't bad at all (all except for the bus system... ㅠㅠ) I'm loving this place!!
Yesterday, one of our investigators was baptized! Her name is Ingrid and she's been studying for her Masters at one of the universities here in Korea. She was introduced to our church by one of her fellow students--a man from Africa who served a mission and has been attending the English group in one of our wards! She met the sister missionaries only a couple months ago but quickly accepted our teachings about God, His Son, and the rest of the gospel. I've only met with her a couple of times, but she is truly an amazing individual. Her baptism yesterday was an incredible experience... the spirit was so strong! Most of the service was done in English, which was quite a treat to hear and fully understand the testimonies given... wow. I'm realizing how great a privilege we have to share our testimonies with others, and in turn be strengthened.
My companion and I have been hitting the Christmas spirit pretty hard this last week! It's crazy it's almost December!!! We've been busy running around sharing our love and Christ's love with others... Through all my studying lately as well as the experiences I'm been having, I'm realizing just how important this gospel is!! The gospel is Jesus Christ! His life, His example, His sacrifice, His Atonement... He is the thing that makes God's plan for us work! He's not just at the center of Christmas, but He is the center of our existence! The more I learn and understand, the more indebted I feel. I hope that at this time we all take the opportunity to express the thoughts and feelings of our hearts--our testimony about Jesus Christ-- with others. Sharing this message is perhaps the greatest gift we could give to anybody. The joy of knowing Christ and God's plan is better than anything else in the world. God brought me all the way across the world so that I could realize this, and in turn share this message with others.
Love you all so much!!
Have a wonderful week!
