The days are long but the weeks are short here at the MTC! This week has been super hectic! We lost three of our six districts on Monday. It was a bittersweet goodbye as they all departed for the homeland. As of yesterday my district is no longer the youngest of our zone! We got a new district--seven sisters and one elder (poor guy...). As a newly appointed sister training leader, I feel especially lucky to have been able to meet with them and get to know them yesterday! They are a quite talented bunch, already trying out the Korean phrases that they learned. I am filled with so much love for all of our sisters!
I finally have a hilarious, awkward, mistake-while-learning-the-language story to share!! And it's a good one. My companion and I were teaching lesson on Monday to our teacher (playing as an investigator). Usually we have the scriptures pre-marked in our Korean scriptures, but I suddenly felt inspired to share Moroni's promise in Moroni 10:3-5. We also usually have her read the scriptures, but this time I decided to do it. After struggling through I finally finished the verses, and asked her how she felt. She seemed a bit confused, asking if that was really his promise. Alas... I had instead read Mosiah 10:3-5. Which says something about the men tilling the fields and the women toiling and making linen (look it up!). Definitely not Moroni's promise! We all broke character and laughed for a good 3 minutes or so!! hahaha.
Also, I have the best district ever. I love them with all my heart. It's amazing being able to see the changing process within them this last month. The Lord truly qualifies those who He calls to do His work.
Sorry for the shorter email this week! It's been a hectic one!
Love you all!!
