... AND SO STARTS MISSIONARY WORK WITHOUT THE TRAINING WHEELS!!!
Yes, my dear companion/trainer/mother Sister Ha is leaving today to begin her work as a traveling sister training leader! It's been a bit of a crazy last couple days since we found out... Full of all sorts of ups, downs, and shuffles from side to side (all today was spent packing and shipping her stuff off hahaha). It's crazy how fast time flies... I've spent nearly every day with her for the last five months (minus the hospital sabbatical in July). She's taught me so much--she's an incredible missionary! I'm not quite sure how we are going to function without her... especially seeing as how Sister Sallander and I still don't know Korean. hahaha. Everyday will be an adventure. :)
This last Thursday we had a member of the Seventy--Elder Choi-- and his wife visit us for a very special mission conference. The timing, their messages--everything-- was exactly what I needed to hear at the moment. It never ceases to amaze me just how the Lord's messages are timed perfectly. Elder Choi covered many subjects, focusing a lot on how to become an effective missionary. He also spoke a lot about the importance of thoughts! Thoughts lead to actions which lead to habit, which lead to character, which lead to destiny!! If you want to change something, you must start with your thoughts! Positive thoughts!! This has been my goal for the last week, and I hope to continue to elevate my thoughts during the rest of my mission. The Lord said, "For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways" (Isaiah 55:8.) I know that when we have not just positive thoughts, but thoughts focused on the Lord, our daily lives will be uplifted, and we will become the best people we can be!
Anywho, I apologize for the short email today! Gotta run to the post office!
Love you all! Have a wonderful week!
